Meet Beautiful Mehul Kumar's Daughter
Photo: Jahaan BlochVeteran producer and director Mehul Kumar is back after a long hiatus, with a sequel to his earlier hit film Krantiveer, titled Krantiveer The Revolution.
Asked why he waited for 15 years to make a sequel to Krantiveer (1994), Mehul replies, "Sequels didn't work in the Hindi film industry earlier, but in the last couple of years sequels have done well. So I decided to make one now".
Mehul will introduce his daughter Jahaan in Krantiveer The Revolution. "The sequel will not have any of the actors from the original film and will be a youthful film with a contemporary story. Jahaan plays Nana Patekar's daughter," the director adds
Krantiveer The Revolution has been inspired by a few real life events and deals with corruption, terrorism and violence. The presentation and screenplay have been treated in the same way as the earlier Krantiveer, insists Mehul.
Commenting on his daughter, Mehul says, "Jahaan has worked with a lot of actors and is quite familiar with the industry's workings. She knows everything about filmmaking. She has been trained thoroughly and has learned Urdu diction as well as martial arts."
Mehul Kumar reveals that he plans to cast Amitabh Bachchan and Nana Patekar in a film which will be launched in September 2009.
